Memories of the Plum Blossoms [Wang Family] *Added Dae Hyung*

Background:
The Rong plum tree watches over a long running family for centuries from the top of a hill.... The Wang family had several households around the north-east region of China, their livelihood is mostly growing rice. Wang Jie is the current head of the Wang family. He inherited the house nearest to the Rong plum tree. It is Jie's obligation to take care of the whole Wang family; including his retired parents and siblings. Jie was married to Han Ai by their parents' arrangement. They first gave birth to a healthy boy and named him Yao. The following year Kiku was born... then the twins Dae Hyung & Yong Soo .... Lien.... another twin sibling Li & Meimei... and lastly Yue.

(Notes: As of now this is what I thought about our Asian family. I think we can't add more siblings anymore.. So for Thailand and other Asian nations we can have them as cousins.)

General Plot:
Yao was age 5 when their family started to get unstable. The Wang family was heavily burdened by debts. Jie was forced to give up Kiku, Yong Soo and Lien to wealthy families from neighboring Asian nations. Yue was born later however she was taken away by a Portuguese family. Until Yao was 15 years old the family had good progress in their new business; however, they failed once and the business was almost closed down. A wealthy British forced Jie to sell Li to them in exchange for all the Wang's debts. After a while, Li and Yue came back home.



15 years ago.... (Approx age: Yao-5, Kiku-4, Dae Hyung-3, Yong Soo-3, Lien-2, Mei-1, Li-1.... Yue was not yet born.)

Yao was almost 5 years old and he is already helping out his parents work in the rice fields. Everyday he comes to the fields with his father. His father taught him a lot of things about growing rice and the stories about rice. He runs through his hands in the muddy fields to pull out the weeds. "Aiya~ Rice-san please grow well aru~" he cheerfully chants at the little rice seedlings.

It is a hot summer afternoon; the kind of afternoon where the sun and the heat and the chirping of cicadas all warp and coalesce into a day that is more surreal than solid.

Yong Soo is squatting in the grass by the lake. He is craning over the bank edge, watching the water intently. It's surface undulates like something alive, distorting his reflection with ripples and the occasional flash of tiny fish.

Without warning, the surface heaves and breaks and then suddenly Yong Soo's reflection is there, undistorted and grinning and holding a flapping silver fish like a trophy. Yong Soo mirrors the grin, widely.

"--! Yong Soo, aru!"

Yong Soo and his reflection glance towards the voice and then exchange looks, cheekily. Without saying a word between them (without needing to), they both drag themselves away from the water's edge and dash in the opposite direction, giggling as they run.



((Um, so, I wasn't sure what we're meant to do in this thread? But here's a small, random scene anyway, which you can interpret as either involving Yong Soo's twin or a bout of double personality. Just hope it's alright. <3))

10 years ago (Yao - 9 yrs old, Lien - 6 yrs old & Meimei - 5 yrs old)

There was once Lien was permitted to visit home. Yao was already nine years old. The family had a short moment of joy as they finally able to see Lien after 4 years. However one morning Meimei found out her older sister was no longer in the house. She woke up Yao and told him their dear sister was nowhere to be seen. They both rushed out of the room to find their parents.

They first found their mother, clung to their mother's clothes and wept for their missing sister. For some moments they cried together. Yao also mentioned Kiku and Yong Soo, he missed them so much too. Meimei asked who were they. She was too young when they were sent away. Their mother told her that about them.

Yao wiped his tears, pledged to himself that he will bring back his siblings. He will work hard to to accomplish it. Meimei volunteered to help too. They both quickly prepared for field work and followed their father to the rice fields. It was planting season for the seedlings. It was also Meimei's first time to work on the fields.

Yao and Meimei was asked to plant the seedlings on the prepared plots. Yao was taught Meimei how to plant the seedlings. They both worked hard and carefully on planting the seedlings. The sun rose higher, Meimei grew tired after working hard under the sun. She had messed up her clothes with mud.ad Yao finished planting the seedlings before he got off the muddy field and washed himself. His stomach growled. Meimei laughed at it and made Yao embarrassed. Yao fell back into a empty prepared plot as he stepped back too much. His body and clothes were covered in mud.
